OFC Results. DCR Members Shine in Freeroll and Buyin Events!

The OFC at FullTilt had 2567 players, and took over 5 and a half hours to complete. We had 2 members placing in the top 30 places which earned us points towards a freeroll as a group.

Finishing 28th was 13JIM13

And taking second place overall was our own Spoken4Guy. Second place paid $112 and garnared us 36 points as a forum. Overall we came in 5th as a forum winning us another freeroll at FullTilt for $50.

We came in 16th overall in the number of entries, and yet we placed 5th. We are always out performing as a group. Thanks all.

Watch for tomorrow's results, because there is another OFC Event that actually has a buy-in and I am thinking we have a great chance in it as well. We need to get as many of you as possible to play in tomorrow's game... Let us know and maybe someone can transfer you some money if you want to be in the game, but you have no money on FullTilt.

Congrats spoken4, great job.

I find these forum games a little tougher than I am used to. Seems I always start at a table where there is a very aggressive player always raisng pre flop. But this time I was patient and got him to pay me off with my nut flush. I finished 113 I think, not bad but not great. I will be playing tomorrow at Fulltilit and I have unregistered at the 5k at sc to be able to put all my focus on tormorrows game. I am MONMISSDIVINE at fulltilt and I thank those of you that watched me. I am disapotinted not to have gotten to the final table but I will play my A game tommorow and hope for better results. I don't how many if us are in it, but gl all and lets try not to take each other out lol .

WE ARE................ DCR !!

again wtg all

You were doing well MON... I was watching. I drop in from time to time on our players... sometimes they don't see me in the observer chat... but I am proud of all of you guys... I have a feeling that the Sunday Buy-In event just might be a big game for us.

Great job, Spoken4Guy. Congratulations!

I placed somewhere between 425-450. I was disappointed, but there's always next time.

I can't find the OFC email detailing tomorrow's (Sunday) FT buy-in. Can someone let me know here what time it is and how much buy-in fee is? Thank you!

Congrats to everyone who entered for doing such an amazing job!

Best of all,

Despite pre-registering and sending emails, I was not able to register via the blue link.
Got the message:
"Unfortunately you are not eligible for this freeroll."

whatever....

Good luck everyone.

Just like Rags2Riches I had pre-registered, but I got this message when I tried to sign up: unfortunately you are not eligble. I sent an e-mail to Ken, who told me to contact OFC, and Full Tilt. I e-mailed both, F.T. at 12:33 pm. Full Tilt replied back at 8:12 that night, over 7 hours later saying a technical issue prevented some players from signing up, and they offered an apology. I have played at F.T. before in OFC events and never had a problem. Oh well, maybe next time.

First off I'd like to thank Dr CheckRaise as he was cheering me on at the final table. Also thanks to everyone for the congrats and fellowship here on DCR forum. This was only my second OFC I have been able to play.

Early on the table was tight so I was able to steal and play overly aggressive for the first few rounds. Overall I played well, making a number of bad bets/calls. I got lucky and very lucky a few times to keep me going. I would like to apologize to the membership for my final play. Eventhough I was out chipped 2-1, I didn't think the tourney would run so long and the wife was a bit anxious to get going for an outing we had planned. I would not normally go all in hitting second pair on the flop after a big raise. I would have loved to win it all for the DCR forum so I next time I play in another tourney, I'll make sure I don't play anything else for that day.

Again I thank everyone for their support and congrats. I love the forum and hope to spend more time here and at the tables.

Was a great event. I have never paid more than a buck for an online tourney and those were just one table. I have never deposited a dime in any online poker site mainly because I can't afford, If I don't win it in a freeroll then I don't do it.

Today I was a little nervous even though it was only 5.50, it wasn't my money and It;s very important to me to represent DCR. We were only 5 points away from getting another freeroll. I really need you ALL to register for these ofc challenges.
There is strength in numbers and we have some of the best players right here. Please, don;t be shy sign up the next one at reefer and reefer has really fun graphics. I like reefer alot! But dont tell anyone lol

Todays game was tough at first as It took me to my table 10 min after it started and I was already down 50 chips. I was so very card dead and really had to be patient. I was able to steal a couple of pots to keep in and fianlly had a good hand that stood up and took me to the bubble. I could have chipped up more at that point because today as almost always bubble time people are playing very tight. But this time, there wasn't a chance in hell that I was not going to cash.

After the bubble were all in the money I was free to play my game. I ran into Jerry and he played a good game. I had kk twice and I think because I had been folding for what seemed like forever I was able to bet pre flop and win them without a fight. I went to a new table and was confronted by the sb which tried to steal my blind right away i let it go even though I had KQ . I have a rule . I never play immediatly unless I have AA at a new table., I need to see what Im up against. The next time he tried that I shoved on him. he called I won. I had KQ s, he had k 10 I was suprised he called my reraise but ok by me. I was aksed about a hand when I had QQ but I don't remember it lol I probably reraised with it. QQ is a tough hand although it looks good still those k';s and A's out there can crush us. I never play the same so there are times when I might just call depeding on postion, chip stack and blinds. Anyway i ramble. I had a great time thanks to all

And sign up for these events people

I sometimes get to go from table to table and watch some of our players play. Today I got to watch olddefone, Jerry, and MonMiss. and I must say it makes me really proud to watch you guys in action. And that means alot from someone like me, because I am not much of a spectator. But it just makes me proud to be a part of this group. To see how much we have grown as an organization and how much we have grown as individuals.

Like MonMiss said. please sign up for these events. Each and everyone of you can do his/her part to help us win some freerolls and make yourself some cash in the process. Take the first step. Go to this link and follow the instructions so that you can play in the ReeferPoker Event. We have good numbers there, and I really think that we can send one of our members to this Reality TV show..... Don't wait. Do it NOW!

Thanks to one and all.

Awesome job you guys. Just knowing that yall did great makes me feel alot better than the way my game went there today. I'm ashamed to even metion where I busted out. shhhhh don't laugh, but it was 325th. I was card dead from the start, and the few hands that I had worth playing just didn't hold up. Kinda broke my spirit a bit. But by you guys placing and gainning points for us brings it back. Again Congrats, and GOOOOOOOOOOOOO DCR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone.... just trying to help do my part and bring the freerolls home for DCR members.... plus like monmiss said I dont have money to put into these sites(6 kids and 5 grandkids will do that)..... and on top of that the money i used to enter the buyin event was from the last freeroll we had at fulltilt so I figured what a better way to repay our members but by trying to bring home another freeroll for us... Now lets see if one of us can get on that reality show

Concerning the problems experienced at Full Tilt Poker last Saturday and Sunday for the OFC events, I apologize to everyone who was not able to register. I experienced the same problem, apparently due to a "pre-mature" registration. i.e., I registered prior to 3:00 pm Friday, and I encouraged others to do so ASAP. I was registered, then I wasn't registered ("ineligible" ), then I was registered manually by Full Tilt after emailing OFC/GGE and Full Tilt.

For future OFC events, I still encourage everyone to register ASAP after 3:00 pm on Friday, but to avoid registering prior to that, even if the event appears to be open for registration.

Below is an explanation from OFC of what was going on:

Dear OFC Player,

Registration for the Full Tilt Poker Freeroll and Buyin Events are now open. Remember you will need to manually register for these events. Please try and register for these events as soon as possible. Please see below for important note.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Full Tilt Poker opened registration for the events before the restricted list had been sent in. For those who registered during this time, please log into Full Tilt Poker and register again or make sure you are registered. This includes both the Freeroll and the Buyin games.

After Full Tilt Poker loaded up the restricted list, it was done in stages so if you weren't able to register previously, please try again as the whole list has been uploaded.

If you have previously emailed me, I've submitted your screenname, please try again to register for the events.

If you are pre-registered and you're not able to register for the freeroll, buyin or both tournaments, please send email to both support@fulltiltpoker.com as well as tara@globalgamingevents.com. Remember when emailing, please include your Screenname.

I will send in your corrections after this time as well but we cannot guarantee that these corrections will be made. Please understand OFC does NOT have access to Full Tilt Poker's backend software to make these changes/corrections.
